Effective date: June 5, 2026
Positive View (“the app”) shows film negatives as positive images in real time. This policy explains how the app handles your information.
In short: Positive View does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything happens on your device.
None. The app has no accounts and no sign-in. It contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind, includes no third-party SDKs, and does not send any data off your device.
The app uses your device’s camera only to display a live, inverted preview of the film you point it at. Camera frames are processed entirely on your device, in memory, to render that preview. They are not recorded, saved, or transmitted anywhere by the app.
When you tap the save button, the app writes the current image to your device’s photo library. This happens only at your request, and the app only adds photos — it does not read, browse, or upload your existing photo library. Saved images stay on your device, under your control.
Your in-app preferences (such as brightness and display options and the adjustment sliders) are stored locally on your device using the system’s standard settings storage. They never leave your device and are removed when you delete the app.
The app may occasionally show a link to another app or website (for example, another app by the developer). Tapping such a link opens it in your browser or in the App Store, which are governed by their own privacy policies. The app itself does not share any information about you when it shows or opens these links.
Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it does not knowingly collect information from children. It is safe to use at any age.
The app stores nothing about you on any server, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Local settings are removed when you uninstall the app. Photos you saved remain in your photo library and can be deleted by you at any time.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
