Privacy Policy

In short: Light & Deep does not collect, store, sell, or transmit your personal data. Camera, depth, exposure, and optional location information are processed on your device.

Information we collect

None. Light & Deep has no accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking. The app does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs and does not send your photos, camera frames, measurements, settings, or location to the developer.

Camera and depth sensors

The app uses the camera, LiDAR depth sensor where available, motion sensors, and camera exposure information to provide its live rangefinder, light-meter, viewfinder, and horizon features. This information is processed on your device and is not transmitted by the app.

Photos

When you explicitly press the save button, the app writes the resulting reference image to your photo library. The saved image can include measurements and exposure metadata selected in the app. Light & Deep does not upload or otherwise transmit saved images.

Optional location information

If you enable “Save GPS Coordinates,” the app requests your location only when you capture a reference image and embeds it in that image’s EXIF metadata on your device. The app does not retain or transmit the location separately. You can disable this feature at any time in Settings.

Purchases

The optional one-time Pro purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. The app receives product information and a verified entitlement from Apple so it can unlock Pro features; it does not receive or store your payment-card details. Apple’s handling of purchase data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Settings and retention

Your preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple’s standard settings storage. They are removed when you delete the app. Images you saved remain in your photo library until you delete them.

Children’s privacy

Because the app collects no personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version and effective date will be posted on this page.
